Kingdom Bridges Sponsors One of the Largest Teen Camps in Ukraine
In a nation still scarred by war, Kingdom Bridges Ministries helped bring together 160 teens from across Ukraine for a life-changing youth and teen camp—one of the largest of its kind in the country. This wasn’t just a camp; it was a place of worship, rest, healing, and renewed hope in Jesus’ name.
We’re deeply grateful to God—and to you, our faithful supporters—for making this possible. Your generosity helped provide a safe, welcoming environment for war-impacted youth to find purpose, connection, and healing in Christ.
An incredible team of pastors, missionaries, coaches, and counselors poured into the teens each day, helping them process trauma, discover their identity in Christ, and find strength for the future.
These moments matter. And in a time when so many Ukrainian youth are surrounded by fear and loss, they encountered something greater--hope that heals and a Savior who restores.
A Story of Healing From War
She is just 14 years old, from the small coastal village of Mykolaivka—where our most recent youth and teen camp was held. When she heard about the camp, she asked if she could join. Of course, we welcomed her in with open arms.
One evening during worship, she came forward, tears streaming down her face. In that moment, she made a decision that would change everything—she wanted to pray and invite Jesus into her heart.
After the service, she shared the painful story of her past few months. Her father had been drafted and sent to the front lines of the war. Around the same time, her mother changed radically, left the family, and abandoned her and her younger brother.
Now living with her elderly grandmother, she carries the deep wound of her mother’s betrayal—but like so many hurting children, she still defends her. Through tears she told us, “This camp saved me.” For the first time in a long time, she experienced spiritual renewal and found real hope in Jesus’ name.
As a pastor, I promised her that we would stay connected. Anelia will begin attending our local church, and I’ve already spoken with a nearby pastor to ensure she receives ongoing care and support.
This is why we do what we do—because hope changes everything.
A Reason to Live
This is the story of a hurting teen. Our camp counselor described her as a young woman carrying deep emotional trauma—someone who spent much of the week searching for answers, support, and a reason to keep going. At first, she was guarded and often reacted with anger when others tried to show kindness. But beneath the surface was a heart crying out for help.
She later told us that something life-changing happened during the camp. In her own words, she experienced a “new birth.” She didn’t want to leave, fearing a return to what she described as “a house of flying knives and broken dishes.” That’s how she referred to home—a place where her parents live destructively and where she feels unloved, alone, and completely unheard.
She opened up about her struggles with suicidal thoughts, confessing that she came to camp with one desperate hope: to find a reason to keep living. She found it.
One pivotal moment was a healing workshop led by Christian psychologist Tatiana. She approached her during the week and asked for help. Through tearful conversations, the door to healing began to open.
She left camp with something she hadn’t had in a long time--hope. She said the experience gave her a reason to live again and, for the first time, she found people she could trust and talk to—people who listened, prayed, and loved her like Jesus.
A Family of Orphans You Helped Sponsor
Every teen in this photo is an orphan. Each of them comes from a different place, a different story of pain, and yet today, they stand together—united by love, healing, and family.
This is Samuel. Like many others at camp, he’s an orphan—but thankfully, he was welcomed into a loving Christian family. Still, the trauma of his past runs deep. Samuel’s hair began turning gray when he was just a child, a visible reminder of the intense stress he endured at such a young age. That same stress affected his memory—he doesn’t remember his early childhood, his biological parents, or many details from before he was adopted, even though he was already old enough to form memories. The pain runs so deep it erased his past. But at camp, something beautiful happened. For the first time in his life, Samuel stepped forward in faith. He prayed a prayer of repentance and publicly declared his belief in God. That moment, he said, marked a turning point—a day he will never forget. More than anything, Samuel is grateful for the genuine friendships he found at camp. He finally met people who understand him, who will walk beside him in faith, and who remind him that he’s not alone anymore. That kind of companionship is something his heart had longed for—until now.Samuel: Too Young to Turn Grey
